The talented Jorja Smith returned to BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge as part of their Live Lounge Month.
Appearing at the famous Maida Vale studios, the songstress treated the R1 audience to two stunning performances.
First up she performed recent single “By Any Means” which was inspired by the Black Lives Matter movement. Referring to Nina Simon’s quote of “It’s an artist’s duty to reflect the time”, she discusses the meaning behind the song and leads into an enchanting rendition.
For her second performance and the obligatory cover, she takes on ”Guns In The Distance” by her friend and close collaborator Maverick Sabre.
It is always a joy to hear Jorja Smith sing live and she is no doubt one of the most authentic performers of our time. Tell us what you thought about the performance Twitter @CelebMix!
