Lola Vice Loses Cash-In, Lyra Valkyria Retains NXT Womens Title At NXT Vengeance Day

Lyra Valkyria thought she’d deal with one opponent at NXT Vengeance Day, but a second contender suddenly entered the equation. Still, Valkyria emerged victorious.

Roxanne Perez challenged Valkyria for the NXT Women’s Championship on Sunday. Perez previously earned a title shot by winning a battle royal. They went back and forth, and the contest could have gone either way, but Lola Vice changed the equation when she cashed in her title shot from the NXT Women’s Breakout Tournament.

Vice entering the match came just as Perez hit Valkyria with her Pop Rox finisher. Vice had both Valkyria and Perez on the ropes as she showcased her strike-based offense. In the end, Tatum Paxley tackled Perez out of the ring after she hit Pop Rox again. Valkyria then pinned Vice to win the match and walk away with her title reign in tact.
