Hot New Hip Hop said today that Colin Kaepernick is getting ready to get back into the NFL. As most know, the Black Lives Matter protests this year sparked significant controversy in the media for a number of reasons, including the massive outreach they had on the world culture.

For instance, the protests continued all over the United States and extended into other countries including Canada and the United Kingdom. Apparently, news of the former player’s re-entry into the game has persisted for approximately one year.

For instance, in 2019, Hot New Hip Hop claims, Kaepernick was invited by the NFL to attend a special workout.

Reportedly, the event didn’t go over well because the league tried to get him to sign a contract stating that they wouldn’t be liable if he got injured. Michael Silver, the NFL Network analyst, claimed that Colin has since received a number of offers to make a comeback in the league.

At the moment, it’s not possible to get Colin back on the field on account of the coronavirus, however, the analyst claims there is a certain coach who is trying to get Kaepernick back on the field.

As most know, Kaepernick sparked controversy in the league back in 2016 when he took a knee rather than standing for the flag in protest against police brutality. The incident led to widespread discussions regarding what it meant to be patriotic in addition to Black Lives Matter protests.

And with the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis and the subsequent Black Lives Matter demonstrations, Colin’s case became even more relevant. Since then, NFL executives have come out and said that they were wrong to dismiss Kaepernick in the way that they did.

Earlier this year, Ludacris, the rapper, also came out to address the Kaepernick controversy and the league’s response to the recent Black Lives Matter protests. He said it was a “good start” for them to recognize they were wrong.

NFL and NBA players have since become more political over the last few months, including Shawn Marion, who stated that players should use their platforms for good in the upcoming NBA season this year.
