She spent her childhood years growing up in the Police Lines Quarters Pitampura in Delhi.
Initially, she aspired to become an IPS Officer and also received 1.5 years of coaching (UPSC) for it.
In 2011, Pavitra Punia played the role of Geet Dhillon, a Sikhni from Bhatinda with a zest for life, in the drama television series, Love U Zindagi, in which she co-starred alongside Sidharth Shukla.
She brought to life the character of Anushka, Mishra house’s paying guest, Rohan’s lover, and antagonist, in Hongey Judaa Na Hum from 2012 to 2013.
From 2019 to 2020, she appeared as Timnasa, the evil queen of Kaal Lok and the biggest enemy of Baal Veer, in the fantasy television series, Baalveer Returns.
