Northern Irish actor Ray Stevenson, sometimes known as George Raymond Stevenson, was born on May 25, 1964. He gained notoriety for his performances as Dagonet in the 2004 film King Arthur and Titus Pullo in the BBC/HBO television series Rome’s seasons 5–7. George Raymond Stevenson, the second of his Irish parents’ three boys, was born in Lisburn. His father served in the Royal Air Force as a pilot. Stevenson graduated from Bristol Old Vic Theatre School at the age of 29.

Stevenson made his acting debut in The Theory of Flight (1998) as a gigolo hired to help Helena Bonham Carter’s character lose her virginity. He made his appearance in the short film No Man’s Land by actor and director Edward Hicks in 2002 before receiving his degree from the London Film School.
