Vince McMahon has no intention to leave WWE, according to a new report.
As previously reported, Vince McMahon’s role in WWE has been shifted away from the creative side in the aftermath of WWE’s merger with UFC. In November, McMahon, the Executive Chairman of TKO Group Holdings, sold $700 million in TKO stock. This marked nearly a quarter of his holdings in the company.
Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated reports that, per WWE sources, Vince McMahon has no plans to leave the company. The report notes that McMahon sold so much stock because he needed to have the money liquid.
Additionally, Barrasso cites sources who indicated that McMahon has no plans to stop working for the company. Barrasso notes that McMahon still has “great power” in the company, and he is focused on dealing with the tasks Endeavor CEO Ari Emanuel assigns him.
WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
