To celebrate Christmas, Real Housewives of New York City star Bethenny Frankel enjoyed a relaxing vacation in the Dominican Republic with her new boyfriend, real estate developer and film producer, Paul Bernon, and they made their relationship Instagram official by posting their first pics together. On Christmas Day, Frankel posted two pics of herself with Bernon and added the hashtag #healingretreat to the caption.

In the second photo, Frankel and Bernon posed together while wearing matching sunglasses.
The reality star has had a difficult few months and was in desperate need of some downtime. Earlier this month, she suffered a nearly-fatal allergic reaction to fish that put her in the hospital for two days.
“I have a rare fish allergy. Sunday, I had soup, itched & was unconscious for 15 mins then to ER & ICU for 2 days w BP of 60/40,” Frankel tweeted. “I couldn’t talk, see, thought I had a stroke & dying & told if 5 mins later I’d be dead. 911 & EPI saved me. I’ll never not carry an #epipen.”
She also thanked Newton Wellesley Hospital in Massachusetts, but during her stay in the intensive care unit, she discovered the hospital needed her help. According to The Blast, Frankel found the beds to be less than desirable, so she has been working on securing a donation of 200 twin mattresses for the hospital so she could make a difference for other patients.
Frankel is also working on getting the hospital new linens and pillows by reaching out to a few different companies, and online mattress company Leesa, as well as Wayfair.com, have already offered to help.
A rep for Newton-Wellesley Hospital says they do depend on donations, and they appreciate Frankel’s “very generous” offer.

Frankel also says that Bernon helped save her life after she had a bad reaction to a bowl of Miso soup during a dinner date. Bernon was by her side as her blood pressure shot through the roof and she went into anaphylactic shock.
In addition to her own near-death experience, Frankel also suffered through the loss of her on-again, off-again boyfriend Dennis Shields, who died from a suspected overdose in his Trump Tower apartment back in August.
