Saul Rubinek is a Canadian actor, director, playwright, and producer. His roles include the films Ticket to Heaven, Against All Odds…, Wall Street, The Bonfire of the Vanities, True Romance, Unforgiven, Nixon (1995), Jerry and Tom, which he also directed; The Express, Barney’s Version, and The Ballad of Buster Scruggs, and the shows Warehouse 13, Frasier, A Nero Wolfe Mystery, The Last Tycoon, and Hunters. He co-founded the Canadian Stage Company.

Saul was born in Föhrenwald, Wolfratshausen, Upper Bavaria, Germany, the son of Frania and Israel Rubinek. His parents were Polish Jews, from Pińczów, Poland. His father was a factory worker, Yiddish Theatre actor, theatre company manager, and Talmudic scholar. The two survived the Holocaust, being hidden by Polish farmers.

His parents moved to Canada in 1948. Saul was raised in Montréal, Québec, later moving to Ottawa, Ontario, as a child, and then Toronto. He spoke Yiddish growing up.

Saul is married to Elinor Reid, with whom he has two children, including actress Hannah Reid Rubinek.
